The Dream Camp has become a highly successful event where up to 75 young people travel from across south and west India (in this first phase of DREAM:IN Next Gen) in to the city of Bangalore and have the opportunity to gain confidence, to interact with Mentors and start developing their enterprise idea. The process of value creation is accelerated.
We have already had two Dream Camps in February and March that have received positive feedback from all those that attended. Dream Camp 3 will take place on the 26th and 27th of April at the DREAM:IN center in Bangalore.
We invite you to apply your knowledge within an open innovation system to create next generation ideas, interact with and inspire next generation leaders, experienced mentors and to imagine new business models and next generation enterprise. To collectively transform the youth, from being mere consumers of income and employment, to becoming creators of new wealth and jobs.
NEXT GEN DREAM CAMP
DAY 1 / INTERACTION / 26 Apr / 9.30 am to 5 pm
Shortlisted dreamers will travel to Bangalore, to meet and interact with mentors from technology, design and business, to share their dreams and receive personal and professional direction. From the entire lot, a few select dreamers will be shortlisted for the next stage, on the next day. Subject matter experts will address the audience on various subjects that will help the budding entrepreneurs. A panel will also interact with the audience to discuss, debate and answer any questions put forth. By the end of the day, the Mentors and the DREAM:IN Team will collectively shortlist dreamers to come back for Day 2.
DAY 2 / ACTION / 27 Apr / 9.30 am to 6 pm
Shortlisted Dreamers will work overnight and come in prepared to shape their ideas based on the feedback they received the previous day. These Mentors will now work hands on with the Next Gen dreamers at the Dream Enterprise Studio to create dreamscapes*. The intense working sessions will also include inspired sharing of stories and dreams. The Next Gen Dreamers and their teams, at the end of day, will have the opportunity to pitch their shaped plans to DREAM:IN’s esteemed advisors. The mentors will also connect with the dreamers over the next few weeks (at a time convenient to them) over the phone/Skype or in person to help them shape their ventures and create business plans. The Dreamers will also have the opportunity to re-record their dreams, to showcase their plans and prototypes at the DREAM:IN Next Gen Conclave. The mentors will also be invited to participate in the Conclave.
* The Dream Scaping methodology is a tool to create scenarios and it has found global acceptance.
